Hi, my name is Ian Navarro Silver.
Why do I do what I do?
I started composing and sound designing because I wanted to be involved in stories. There have been hundreds of stories that have forever altered some aspect of my worldview and belief system. I want to help tell those stories, I want to be involved in telling the stories that allow people to feel a little bit braver, a little more compassionate, kinder and more sure-footed. I myself am not an author, actor or animator; so sound is my contribution to the stories so value.
What are some of your favorite stories?
It would be dishonest of me to tell you my favorite stories, because it would be a little like trying to make oatmeal cry. BUT here are some of my favorite stories (in no particular order); although I'm sure I’ve forgotten stories that were at one point very special to me.
